This week I am participating in Foodie Friends Friday and I am featuring a blog that is written by Donna Speaks from Cafe Blue Ridge!
The group takes turn featuring Foodies blogs and joins in conversations through the Facebook group. I was able to read Donna's post on my own blog before I started this post after work. Donna posted:
"She's much younger and has a much, much healthier approach to life. In fact, Anna does all those things I should be doing: eating lean meals, getting plenty of exercise and drinking lots of water every day."
I also wondered where I would begin when I started to write my post featuring her blog! I hit me... So often the hardest struggle in a fitness journey is believing you have to give up the great tasting things in life... and well... YOU DON'T.
I'm sure all of the fitness bloggers and athletes we follow would agree with me. Life and the fitness journey is not meant to deprive you of the things you love...especially wonderful food and bakery items like what is a part of Donna's posts on her blog.
Enjoy yourself and great tasting food on your fitness journey. Some call these cheat meals... I love to call them
SPLURGE MEALS!!
I want to pass along the message to enjoy your life! It is meant to be enjoyed.
I love that Donna enjoys what she's good at... baking!
Please take a look at Donna's Blog Posts and follow her journey opening Mockingbird Cafe!
The Mockingbird Cafe blog has great recipes for those splurge meals that we all enjoy so much!
Thank you all for your support and hello new friends!!
I am so intrigued with how social media is connecting people all over the place. In addition, I love that we are able to share with one another on our own personal journey. No matter what you journey is I PROMISE there is always someone that has been there and done that and has tons to share.
Explore social media... find new blogs... follow new people on Twitter.
As always, set new goals and find people who can support you through the process!
I love your post! You have such great advice and there is so much truth in it. I am loving the blogging journey, and loving it even more when I can share as a group. Blogging groups show how strong the social blogging community can be. By the way, this is Angie at A'lil Country Sugar.
ReplyDeleteDitto, Anna! You and all the foodie bloggers out there continue to inspire me. Great making friends with you.
